Real Madrid are now fully prepared to face Levante tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabéu (18:00; C+ Liga and Gol T). Nine of the ten players that started in the victory last Wednesday against Galatasaray completed a recovery session on pitches 1 and 2 at Real Madrid Football City. Meanwhile, the rest of the squad trained at a greater rhythm. Özil and Carvalho trained inside, making use of the Whites’ facilities.
Real Madrid completed the final training session before its clash against Levante tomorrow. José Mourinho divided the players into two groups to train on the pitches. The first group, and following the orders of technical assistant Rui Faria, featured nine of the ten outfield players who started in the win against Galatasaray last Wednesday. Xabi Alonso, Varane, Khedira, Di María, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Essien, Ramos and Coentrão completed a recovery session and subsequently completed a series of ball retention exercises.
The second group, which featured more players, trained with greater intensity. This group was led by the Mourinho, and featured the goalkeepers Casillas, Diego López, Adán and Jesús. The players started with initial stretches and then muscle strengthening workouts before moving on to training with the ball. Özil and Carvalho trained inside making use of the Whites’ facilities.
